     Chinese Cresteds enjoy human contact greatly. Some Chinese Cresteds are couch potatoes while others are active and enjoy running around and playing alot. All Chinese Cresteds require some form of exercise whether its playing ball and running around in the yard or going for a walk with you. Chinese Cresteds are bright, affectionate, and become extremely attached to their owners.

There are two distinctive characteristics

     For the Hairless Chinese Crested ~ They need to be clothed in the winter when they go outside and sometimes even in the house. In the summer they will need sunscreen so they do not get sunburned just like you. So if you are going to own a hairless dog you will need to have clothes on hand like T-shirts, Coats, Pj's, and Booties for their feet. Their skin can be prone to breakouts, so we suggest using a sensitive shampoo and conditioner and giving weekly baths.

     For the Powder Puff Chinese Crested ~ They to will need to have a coat on occasion in the winter, not because of the lack of hair but their size. Powder Puffs will need to be brushed a few times a week to prevent tangles, Bathing once a week is recommended to keep their coat silkie fresh.
